History, uses and notes:
Once worn as a buttonhole by young unmarried men, Red Campion can provide a proud burst of pink and red to any meadow garden. Historically, its seeds have been known to treat snake bites.
It can grow in semi-shade and has a long flowering period from early spring right through to autumn.
Considered a highly attractive plant to humans, it is also popular amongst our pollinating friends. They have also been known to be an ancient-woodland indicator.

Description:
