Seedball making messy fun day at Joy Cafe in Boscombe
I'm excited to have found a few hours to get out in the community and make some Beebombs with the local kids in Boscombe, Bournemouth on August 1st.
Beebombs are clay, soil and wildflower seeds, mixed up and made into balls. They can then be scattered into gardens and pots to create a wildflower meadow that is perfect for pollinators. They are a lot of fun to make and help support our struggling bee population.
Anyone who doesn't mind getting messy and would like to help #bringthebeesback will be able to come down to Joy Cafe in Churchill Gardens, Boscombe on Wednesday 1st August at 1pm and make their own Beebombs to take away.
It's completely free and should be a lot of fun. My colleagues Elena, Marianna and I will be there until about 3pm.
Joy Cafe will be open for refreshments and there is a playground for the kids in Churchill Gardens. It's a great spot, Joy Cafe is an incredibly friendly, warm and fun place with great coffee so it should be a good afternoon all round.
